Project

Wharf Facility

Overview

The situation was that our client was almost 4 months behind schedule for the construction of their port facility in far north queensland. The client was struggling to maintain staff levels and the progress was fading.  The client invited DPS to provide a proposal to assist them in recovering schedule and completing the project

The Task – The experienced DPS team reviewed the project scope in detail and worked with the client’s scheduler and engineering team to identify opportunities for improvement and revise construction methodologies.

Action Taken – The plan – DPS then assembled a team of experienced personnel who were able to be mobilised within  a 2 week period. The DPS team integrated with the existing site team (Client and Contractors), and with the technical support offered by DPS, the knowledgeable supervision team and the ‘one team’ approach taken by DPS, the project was able to be delivered DPS’s Reliable Safe and Efficient manner.

Result– Through DPS’s support, the client was able to recover the 4 months in schedule slip with the First Coal on Ship being achieved 5 days after the schedule baseline
